Nancy De Boer

Nancy De Boer was first elected to Holland City Council in November, 2005. In November, 2015, she was elected the first woman mayor in Holland's 148 year history. During her tenure on the Council, Nancy has championed Holland Youth Advisory Council activities, the Labor Day BoardWALK, the Pay it Forward Holland initiative, and Holland's involvement in America in Bloom and now the international Communities in Bloom. Having lived in the Detroit area, Ohio, Chicago, and Wisconsin, Nancy realizes the natural beauty and extraordinary people of Holland, claiming it as home for the past three decades.

Nancy is honored to serve the city she loves by encouraging long range planning, collaboration to solve problems and grow resources, and working to keep the values of integrity and innovation that have made Holland so successful.
