Speakers
Patti Griswold
Patti Griswold retired in March from Comerica Bank, where she held several senior leadership roles that encompassed customer acquisition, client retention and expansion, talent development and operational compliance, among other functions. Since retirement, she has assumed the title of "full time adventurer, pursuing travel, sailing, running and volunteering." See Patti's bio here.
Nancy Hickey
Nancy Hickey retired in 2014 as senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Steelcase Inc. Nancy used the design principles she employed for projects at Steelcase to chart her priorities in retirement, which she outlines here. Nancy continues to serve on for-profit and nonprofit boards and enjoys mentoring others to help them achieve their goals. See Nancy's bio here.
Maria Leonhauser
Maria Leonhauser is thoroughly enjoying this next chapter in her life. Chapter one was as a journalist for several publications, including Time and People. Later, she worked in public relations, retiring as an equity partner and president of Franco in Detroit. She currently is writing a murder mystery, envisioned as the first of a series. She also serves on nonprofit boards and travels extensively. See Maria's bio here.

Moderator, Julie Green Topping
Julie Green Topping is an experienced editor who spent most of her 38-year career supervising and working with reporters, editors and production staff at the Detroit Free Press. Julie thought she had retired in October 2015, but a year later joined the staff of Chalkbeat, a growing journalism organization that covers education. This is the smallest job Julie has had in a long time, but she has always been passionate about public schools and this job offered a chance to give back. See Julie's bio here.
