Description
Dealing with Difficult People
Social Media squeezes our time. Millennials must find their rightful place within GenX/Y/Z work environments. Unconscious Bias affects us and we may not even know or recognize it. These and other new dimensions are compounding and complicating an already-delicate, and age-old, yet-unsolved issue: dealing with difficult people. Three techniques are provided which can give us a new perspective and help to navigate the circumstances that difficult people place in our lives.
Our speaker is Ruth Davis. Ruth is distinguished by the bandwidth and quality of her competencies, ranging from strategic business transformation to operational excellence. These assets have been expertly-nurtured by other significant leaders, as well as dedicatedly-cultivated and successfully-matured by herself, during a 30+year automotive/IT career.
Ruth is differentiated by the application of her current, building-block strengths, uniquely bridged to the needs of individuals, non-profits, and for-profit corporations/organizations, to provide an outlet for her intensely deep passion to pay-forward/give-back with versatility, efficacy, and integrity.
She currently works as an unplanned pregnancy mentor, literacy advocate, and culinary instruction team member. Ruth has a passionate focus of supporting women. She is always looking forward to the next opportunity presenting itself to allow the application of her talents/gifts.
The mission of the Inforum Troy Morning Networking Group is to be the one meeting you look forward to attending each month. We are committed to an “apology-free” zone so do not apologize if you’re a few minutes late, or if you need to leave a few minutes early (we’ve ALL been there). Our goal is to be a welcoming, supporting networking group for professional women. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Walsh College. Doors open at 7:45 a.m.
Please contact Brenda Meller at mellerbrenda@gmail.com for information or questions associated with the Troy Affinity Group, or if you are a member of Inforum interested in speaking at this group.
The Troy Affinity Group encourages members to Pay-It-Forward by paying half of a nw member’s membership fee. If you are interested in the Pay-It-Forward program please contact Laura Rolands at rolands@wideopenwest.com.
