About Brenda Meller

For the past ten years, I have been embracing social media to help propel my personal and professional efforts. I first realized the power of social media when I made a career change through LinkedIn at the height of Michigan's downturn in 2008. After moving into a new career, I started sharing my knowledge of social media through workshops, webinars, presentations, and via online blogs.

The short story is that I love social media and I have developed a knack for sharing it with others. Over the past few years, I've had a few mentors suggest I lean into it, so here I am.

I've delivered hundreds of workshops and presentations to individuals and groups small and large. My approach has always been to present information in a "judgement-free" zone, where there are no bad questions, and to make sure every attendee gains new insights that can be put to use right away. I've been fortunate to have trained a variety of individuals and organizations throughout metro Detroit, and social media has also given me the opportunity to connect with business leaders across the world.

In addition to being self-taught across social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and more), I have a solid marketing education. I earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree with a specialization in marketing communications from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. I recently completed a dual MBA and master of science in marketing from Walsh College.
