Modular Construction Discussion and Hope Village Tiny Home Tour

We're joining CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) Grand Rapids Chapter for a joint event focused on modular and offsite construction in today's building industry and how it's being used to help build a community for people experiencing homelessness. Presenter Darion Boyd will lead a discussion on how offsite construction, from panelized systems to fully modular buildings, is improving project delivery, increasing efficiency, and helping address workforce challenges across the industry. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Hope Village, Next Step’s innovative tiny home community. This project highlights how forward-thinking construction methods and mission-driven workforce development are working together to create meaningful community impact while shaping the future of building in West Michigan.

Presenter Darion Boyd has directly been involved in the construction of Hope Village and Next Step’s workforce development program, particularly the expansion of their carpentry initiative. His story is one of success as Next Step expands on its mission of equipping individuals for long-term stability.
