Join us for a dynamic panel discussion exploring how three Michigan innovators are deploying research, commitment, and innovation in creating functional, beautiful, and responsibly made products.
Brittanie Dabney
Brittanie is the CEO & founder of Detroit-based Ecosphere Organics, an alternative materials and manufacturing company transforming food and other organic waste into raw materials for downstream industries. She is also an environmental scientist, researcher, writer, and teacher.
Jennifer Guarino is cofounder, president, and CEO of the national nonprofit Industrial Sewing & Innovation Center in Detroit. ISAIC specializes in testing and scaling innovative manufacturing methods while providing training in fundamental and advanced skills in industrial sewing and production. She previously served as the vice president of manufacturing for Shinola in Detroit.
Doug Phillips
Doug Phillips is the owner of Conscious Clothing, a Grand Rapids area-based company founded more than 20 years ago. The company offers slow fashion made from eco-friendly cotton, hemp, and linen fabrics, designed, cut, and sewn in the United States. Previously, he owned a furniture-making company.
