By the Numbers: Women’s Leadership in Michigan Public Companies
Join us for a dynamic virtual lunchtime discussion exploring the latest findings from our biennial study on women’s leadership in Michigan public companies. This timely conversation will feature a panel of Michigan business leaders who will share what they’ve learned about the challenges—and opportunities—women face at the highest levels of corporate leadership.
Since 2003, Inforum has tracked the representation of women leaders in Michigan-based public companies. The 2026 report, conducted in collaboration with Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business, examines how Michigan-headquartered companies compare with national trends.

Christie Coplen
Christie Coplen helps boards and CEOs build the leadership teams needed to succeed in the rapidly transforming industrial and technology sectors. She works with clients on CEO and board succession, executive assessment and development, and top team performance. Christie co-leads Spencer Stuart’s Automotive, Heavy Duty & Mobility Technology Practice and is a key member of the firm’s Board, CEO and Industrial practices.
Christine Sitek
Christine Sitek was longtime executive with General Motors Co., with senior positions in manufacturing , purchasing, and supply chain, including COO of Global Connected Customer Experience. She brings her more than 30 years of Fortune 500 experience to the advisory board of Indium Corp., a premier materials refiner, smelter, manufacturer, and supplier to the global electronics industry.
Amy Sparks
Amy Sparks was owner, president & CEO of Nuvar, a Holland-based leading finished goods supplier to the contract healthcare, transportation, appliance, and residential furniture industries, from 2018 until she sold the company in December. Previously, she was president & CEO of SoundTech. She serves on the boards of Mercantile Bank of Michigan, where she is audit chair, and the National Federation of Independent Business.

Donna Murray-Brown is a nationally recognized nonprofit and philanthropic leader known for her strategic vision, inclusive leadership, and long-standing commitment to strengthening the social impact sector. She currently serves as President and CEO of Inforum, where she leads the organization’s mission to advance women’s leadership by supporting women at every stage of their careers and partnering with companies that recognize women as integral to achieving organizational performance and long-term success.
