No One Can See You Now: Confronting the Primary Care Access Crisis
Across the country, patients and caregivers are facing mounting frustration due to a critical shortage of primary care physicians (PCPs), complex access pathways, and fragmented payment systems. These challenges are straining the foundation of our healthcare system and leaving many without timely, effective care. To address this urgent issue, a distinguished panel of experts will convene to explore innovative solutions aimed at addressing primary care access challenges. The panel includes Rachel M. Klamo, DO, MS, FAAFP, Chair, Board of Directors, Michigan Academy of Family Physicians; Lou Edje, MD, MHPE, FAAFP Senior Associate Dean of Medical Education at U-M Medical School and a family medicine physician; and Nicole Hussey, DO, a third-year family medicine resident. Together, they will examine strategies to improve access, grow the pipeline of primary care providers, streamline care delivery, and reimagine payment models that better support both providers and patients.
Don't miss the opportunity to hear from three unique perspectives as the panelists and audience engage in a practical discussion about potential solutions for shaping the future of primary care.
