Virtual Meet and Greet with Inforum's New CEO
January 16
The Inforum board of directors has named Donna Murray-Brown, a nationally recognized leader in the nonprofit sector as its new president and CEO – and you have an opportunity meet her at a free member event from noon-1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.
Donna has deep Michigan roots. Her career began in financial services, where she held leadership roles at Charter One Bank. She transitioned to the nonprofit sector in 2009 and in 2013 was appointed president and CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association. Under her leadership, MNA launched state equity initiatives, directed Michigan’s 2020 Census complete count strategy, mobilized COVID-19 nonprofit response efforts, and increased investment in leaders of color across the sector.
She later was vice president of strategy and development for the National Council of Nonprofits in Washington, D.C., and, since 2022, has been based in Louisville, Ky., as founder and principal of DMB Coaching & Consulting LLC, where she advised mission-driven organizations nationwide on strategy, leadership development, and organizational design.
Donna serves on the boards of Candid, the McGregor Fund, Housing Partnership Inc., the Speed Art Museum, and the Leadership Council for the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University.
“Being named president and CEO of Inforum Michigan and returning to Michigan is both humbling and energizing,” Donna says. “This role is about expanding what’s possible for women by strengthening leadership pathways, advancing equity, and ensuring women’s talent is fully recognized and valued across our economy.”
“Donna was chosen from among a broad and deep pool of strong candidates for this position. Her breadth of experience, strategic vision, and commitment to Inforum’s mission stood out,” said Maureen D’Agostino, vice president of corporate accreditation for McLaren Health Care, who chaired the search committee for the position.
“We’re pleased to have recruited a leader with the vision, strategic mindset, and personal skills and professional acumen that Donna possesses,” said Kimberly Keaton Williams, chair of the Inforum board of directors and vice president of talent strategy and development, McLaren Health Care. “We’re excited about the future.”
