Oliver Kim is the senior director of public policy for Corewell Health, an integrated health system based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also is an adjunct professor of law with the University of Pittsburgh and is co-director of its Semester in DC program.

Oliver has worked on health law and policy for over two decades, including in senior health positions in the U.S. Senate. During his decade-long Senate career, he worked on critical legislation such as the Affordable Care Act, the Medicare Modernization Act, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Additionally, Oliver was the federal affairs director for Cambia Health Solutions, an Oregon-based health insurance and technology company.

He received his BA from Indiana University at Bloomington, JD from the University of Minnesota, and LLM from Georgetown University. He was selected for a Fulbright Scholar award to Canada, an Endeavour fellowship to Australia, the US-Spain Young Leaders Program, and the American Council of Young Political Leaders. Oliver serves on the board of the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, Community Catalyst, and the Virginia Board of Medicine.

Danielle Devine, director of government relations, Corewell Health

Danielle Devine is a seasoned leader with extensive expertise in healthcare, policy, and strategic advocacy, currently serving as Director of Government Relations at Corewell Health. Throughout her career, Devine has been instrumental in shaping healthcare policy and operational strategies, leveraging her strategic leadership and collaborative approach with key stakeholders.

Before joining Corewell Health in June 2024, Devine held the role of Director of Strategy and Legislative Affairs at Acuitas, a multi-client lobbying firm in Lansing, Michigan. There, she successfully spearheaded strategic initiatives to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency, while also overseeing a diverse portfolio of healthcare clients. 

Prior to her tenure at Acuitas, Devine served as Director of Legislative Strategy and Health Policy Advisor for Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey. In this influential role, she formulated strategic approaches on pivotal legislative issues, helped shape the Michigan Senate's agenda, and championed a wide array of policy initiatives through collaborative efforts with legislators and stakeholders.

Devine also brings significant private sector experience, particularly focused in healthcare operations. She was a founding partner and Vice President of Operations at ApexHealth, where she was responsible for launching a new Medicare Advantage Plan. Earlier in her career, Devine served in a multitude of leadership roles at Meridian Health Plan, including Director of Operations for the Michigan lines of business. In this position, Devine provided strategic direction and ensured operational compliance, serving as a key liaison with state agencies and healthcare associations.

Devine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Grand Valley State University. A native of Hartland and the greater Metro Detroit Area, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and participating in anything competitive.

Megan Blue
joined the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) in 2024 and serves as senior director of healthcare payer policy. In this role, she serves as the MHA’s lead on all payer-specific issues. She identifies trends in Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance markets and develops strategic approaches to work alongside payers, stakeholders, and elected officials to elevate hospital issue areas and concerns.

Prior to her role with the MHA, Megan served as director of government relations for Corewell Health. In that role, she advanced the statewide agenda of Corewell Health’s 20 + hospitals across Michigan at the local, state and federal level. Before her roles in healthcare, Megan worked as a legislative director in the Michigan House of Representatives and abroad as a Uganda program officer with the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Central Michigan University (CMU) and a master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Megan was honored as one of the 2023 10 Within 10 alumni from Central Michigan University, which celebrates 10 graduates within 10 years of graduating who bring honor to the university through work in their career or community. She is a 2018 graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program and served as an auxiliary member of the Michigan Women's Commission from 2018 to 2022.
