Patrice Cheesman, Senior Information Security Risk Specialist, Booz Allen Hamilton

A Detroit native, Patrice Cheesman is a cybersecurity specialist at Booz Allen Hamilton, focusing on risk, compliance, identity, and access management. Encouraged by a friend who recognized her talent for technology and problem-solving, Patrice shifted from project coordinator to cybersecurity specialist later in her career. Her transition started when she enrolled in a cybersecurity master's program at Walsh College in 2016. By 2017, she had secured her first role in the field. Since then, Patrice has developed expertise in third-party risk, identity and access management, security control assessment, and project management. Always interested in learning, she is now exploring the fields of AI governance and privacy, hoping to make meaningful contributions in these areas. Outside of work, Patrice actively encourages women to pursue their interests in cybersecurity. She believes that there is always time to try something new.

Mark Majewski, Director, Information Security, Denso

Mark is the Director of Information Security at Denso, responsible for IT, OT and Product security in North America. Mark has more than 30 years of experience leading information security, IT architecture, data, and software engineering teams in automotive, banking and utilities industries. His passion for ensuring organizations build strong security cultures led him to write a book on building corporate security awareness programs called Security Awareness Program Builder. When not protecting companies from malicious actors, Mark can be found playing tennis or on his boat on Lake St. Clair, MI.

 

 

Jaime Martinez, Cybersecurity Leader, General Dynamics Land Systems

Jaime Martinez has many years of experience in Cybersecurity and IT Management. He presently is employed by General Dynamics Land Systems and leads teams of software developers providing safe and secure code within military vehicles for the war fighters. Within Cybersecurity he has specialties in Disaster Recovery, Vulnerability Management, IT Audit, Security Policy Development, Security Infrastructure and more. He is also employed as an adjunct professor at several institutions and teaches IT and Cybersecurity courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. He enjoys mentoring students, aspiring professionals and veterans through various formal mentoring programs. He volunteers as a Reserve Police officer and presently serves with the rank of R/Sergeant with the Oakland County Sheriff Department. He possesses a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a master’s degree from Walsh College. He possesses numerous certifications including the CISSP, CISA, CISM, CMMI, CDPSE and PMP.
