Renuka Tipirneni, MD, MSc

Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, University of Michigan

Dr. Tipirneni is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Divisions of General Medicine and Hospital Medicine, and at the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation (IHPI) at the University of Michigan. Dr. Tipirneni’s research and quality improvement activities focus on investigating the impact of health reform policies and programs on low socioeconomic status, minority, aging and other vulnerable populations, and on delivery of care in the health care safety net. Her current work includes examinations of Medicaid policy, Medicare and other health reform policy for older adults, and integration of social determinants of health into clinical practice.

She serves as Program Director of the Michigan Social Health Interventions to Eliminate Disparities (MSHIELD) collaborative quality initiative which promotes health equity and works to identify and address patients’ social needs across the state of Michigan. She also serves as Co-Director of the National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) at the University of Michigan. She has evaluated the Affordable Care Act, Michigan’s Medicaid expansion, and other state and federal policies, and is a recipient of two R01s from the National Institute on Aging examining health equity in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Dr. Tipirneni is passionate about the translation of research into implementation of health policies and health care delivery, including sharing lessons learned across communities and states.

As a DEI practitioner, thought leader, and strategic planner, Angie has successfully designed, and initiated innovative DEI centered programs, workshops, training, plans, and dialogues. They have 15+ years of experience partnering with organizations, non-profit businesses, and academic institutions seeking to advance values of justice, inclusive excellence, and integrity for the benefit and development of cultural evolution.  Angie is a people-first oriented leader with a passionate, curious, and committed approach to creating a context in which people individually and collectively can be better than they ever have been—and better than they have ever dreamed of being.  They leads with a dynamic spirit and contagious, inspirational energy. Angie is an avid photographer, writer, 3-time marathoner and proud parent of their one-year-old Frenchie, Lucy. Angie is a certified facilitator with The Center for Appreciative Inquiry and earned a BA in Intercultural Studies. Prior to joining Trinity Health, Angie served as the DEI Program Lead and the Facilitator Engagement Program Manager at the University of Michigan in Organizational Learning. They  are the principal, co-founder, and chief learning officer of Ethoshive, LLC.

 

Geoff Patterson
SVP, CIO
Henry Ford Health

Geoff Patterson brings over 30 years of healthcare experience, in clinical, technical, and administrative areas. He currently serves as the Chief Information Officer of the Henry Ford Health Care Delivery Network. In his current role, he is responsible for information technology strategy, optimization, and delivery across all of the health system inpatient and ambulatory locations.

Geoff joined Henry Ford Health in 2007 from Trinity Health where he served in various roles transforming clinical and operational systems. Previous positions include direct care delivery as a Respiratory Therapist, both in the inpatient and home care divisions for the Ascension St. John Health System.

Geoff received a BBA and MSBIT from Walsh College and has been a member of the College of Health Information Management Executives since 2008, serving on its membership and certification committees, and the Project Management Institute since 2006. 

Derek Yaldo

Chief Medical Physicist, Director, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System

Derek Yaldo, MS, DABR, is the Chief Medical Physicist for Radiation Oncology at Trinity Health in Southeast Michigan. With a strong background in medical physics from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and a track record of innovating healthcare delivery, Derek brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership. He has been instrumental in implementing AI technologies to improve patient care and operational efficiency. In fact, this short bio you just read was written by an LLM.
