Do you have the Next Big Idea, but don't know how to get off the ground? Looking for a funder for your new product or service? Wondering how you can invest in crowdfunding in a meaningful way?

Dr. Marlo Rencher, the vice president of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Diversity at Cleary University, will guide attendees through the many funding options available for business ventures. She will address seed capital, venture capital funding and crowdfunding investing from the point of view of the entrepreneur and budding investors. Join us for a lively discussion on how to position yourself for funding opportunities.

Dr. Marlo Rencher has over twenty years of entrepreneurial experience, either as an entrepreneur, as part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, or conducting research on communities of entrepreneurs.
 
Currently the vice president of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Diversity at Cleary University, Dr. Rencher has worked in senior level and advisory roles with a variety of accelerators and incubators. With digitalundivided founder Kathryn Finney, she wrote The Real Unicorns of Tech: Black Women, a groundbreaking report on the #ProjectDiane research project analyzing access to venture capital funding for women of color. 
 
Dr. Rencher has operated several tech businesses and advised dozens of companies. She earned her undergraduate degree in marketing from Michigan State University, her MBA from the University of Michigan and her PhD in business and organizational anthropology from Wayne State University.
