Description
Job Crafting: Taking Initiative, Shaping Your Job to Fit You Better
Would you like to increase your control over your own professional life while “wowing” your employer at the same time? You can often undertake elements of this without necessarily consulting managers or having to wait for approval.
Results: Giving you greater enjoyment from what you do at work, increasing your energy, and orchestrating your own personal development — thereby improving your skills.
Our speaker is Cathy McCafferty-Smith. Cathy has served over 20+ years to support organizational development, best fit talent development, leadership coaching and succession programs, corporate university development and employee engagement strategies. Her focus is to build inspiring, influential, character based leaders, through coaching, learning programs, and experiences by aligning organizational goals and individual values to create “best fit” = engagement.
Cathy’s style is warm, supportive, strategic, and integrity driven. She is highly respectful of individual leaders’ both known and undiscovered strengths, and identifying what motivates and energizes them. She also assists adventurous clients in the discovery of what internal barriers might be keeping them from reaching their highest potential and levels of engagement.
Meet monthly for networking with other Inforum members who are interested in establishing and building professional relationships. Each month we’ll enjoy casual networking plus a brief presentation from an Inforum member regarding a topic of interest to businesswomen in our community. Coffee and breakfast items may be purchased in the Walsh cafeteria, or you may bring your own.
The mission of the Inforum Troy Morning Networking Group is to be the one meeting you look forward to attending each month. We are committed to an “apology-free” zone so do not apologize if you’re a few minutes late, or if you need to leave a few minutes early (we’ve ALL been there). Our goal is to be a welcoming, supporting networking group for professional women. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Walsh College. Doors open at 7:45 a.m.
Please contact Brenda Meller at bmeller@walshcollege.edu for information or questions associated with the Troy Affinity Group, or if you are a member of Inforum interested in speaking at this group.
The Troy Affinity Group encourages members to Pay-It-Forward by paying half of a nw member’s membership fee. If you are interested in the Pay-It-Forward program please contact Laura Rolands at rolands@wideopenwest.com.
