Keeping tech talent in Michigan
Michigan boasts a thriving and dynamic talent pool, positioning itself as a leading hub for technological innovation. Last year, Apple, in partnership with Michigan State University, introduced the “Apple Developer Academy” (the first in the U.S.) to support the tech giant's $100 million racial equity and justice initiative. With support and sponsorship by the Gilbert Family Foundation and Rocket Mortgage Co., the Detroit Apple Developer Academy is completely free to students, ranging in age from 18 to 60. Students receive 10 months of comprehensive app development and entrepreneurial training, giving them the tools to code and create the next generation of cutting-edge apps.
Join us for a dynamic discussion about this innovative and unique program; about keeping tech talent in Michigan; and upskilling individuals with no previous IT experience. Learn how Michigan is continually pushing the boundaries of innovation, making it a prime destination for tech enthusiasts and businesses seeking top-tier talent.
