Networking or Relationship Building?!

When we think of networking, we often think of “rubbing shoulders” at the golf course or shaking hands at sales conferences. While those activities can be part of networking, the true secret sauce is building trust with the people we meet. “They” say (many “theys”), people do business with people they know, like and trust. You can’t earn trust over one cup of coffee or cocktail. Jennifer will be leading a discussion about her top tips for building real connections within your sphere.

Jennifer has more than 20 years of experience building relationships and earning trust, both as a regulatory lobbyist in Washington, DC, and as a public relations professional in the nonprofit world. She now leverages those skills as a licensed realtor and co-founder of the Home Girl Heroes 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
