Description
Women of Wellness is pleased to host Michelle Mintz OT of Inner Connections as our March speaker. Michelle will be speaking about women's pelvic health. Michelle Mintz is an occupational therapist who specializes in women's health. Her focus is on nervous system wellness, lifestyle design and pelvic health.
Her website is: https://www.innerconnectionswomen.com
Michelle will be speaking on pelvic health. Little information is shared across the life span about what is normal for bowel, bladder and sexual health.
Michelle is passionate about this topic because the statistics are astounding- 1 in 3 women will have Pelvic Floor issues in their lifetime and 50% of women
struggle with pelvic organ prolapse after age 50. Because this is such a taboo topic, many women suffer in silence, not even sharing with their doctors.
This class will bring awareness to this topic and you will leave with tips to take care of this part of your body.
If you would like to ask questions anonymously, please forward your questions to either myself of Charlene by the 14th.
As always, we request that you please register at least 24 hours before the meeting in order to receive the Zoom link from InForum. You can register here: https://myinforum.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/myinforum/eventRegistration.jsp?event=43098
Inforum Affinity Groups bring members together around common interests. They are led by members for members and are a great way to broaden your network, socialize, develop deeper business relationships, and simply recharge your batteries. Guests are invited to attend one to two Affinity Group gatherings prior to joining Inforum. www.inforummichigan.org
What is the purpose of the group?
Public interest in complementary and holistic healthcare options continues to grow as people seek healthier options to preserving and maintaining good health without relying on medications.
The group is focused on providing information, resources, and support for women around health and wellness issues. It will provide accessible strategies, techniques and resources women can adopt to make positive changes in their own health and lives.
We plan a wide range of health and wellness topics that women will find practical and useful in their daily health maintenance. We expect to host guest speakers who are subject matter experts in their fields.
