Women in the Workplace

Friday, January 27

12-1 p.m. EST

This year’s McKinsey/Lean In report focuses on the higher rate at which women are switching companies and the implications that has for companies. Of course, women (and men) move to new companies for a variety of reasons, but recent drivers, according to the report, have to do with factors such as lack of respect, microaggressions, and shouldering a disproportionate share of supporting employee well-being and inclusion. Click here to see the most recent talent pipeline of women in the workplace.

Join Inforum members and guests as McKinsey partner Stacey Haas presents the report’s findings. After her presentation, Jill Dark, vice president of talent futures at Steelcase, and Kimberly Keaton-Williams, McLaren vice president of talent acquisition and development and chief diversity officer, will join Stacey in a discussion of what is happening in the workplace with a Michigan focus.

Presenter:

Stacey Haas, partner, McKinsey and Company

As a leader in McKinsey’s Consumer Practice, Stacey helps clients drive profitable growth, with a focus on portfolio strategy, innovation, and design to deliver above-market growth.

Recent examples of client work include:

* Designing a new approach to driving breakthrough innovation for a consumer company

* Guiding a consumer-packaged-goods company through a global product-offering redesign while also building the internal design-to-value (an integrated approach to designing products that deliver the greatest value) capabilities

* Developed, in collaboration with a client and McKinsey Design, a new product from the process of defining the “white space” to the development of the consumer-tested working prototype.

Stacey is also a leader in All-In, McKinsey’s diversity and inclusion initiative. She is a former member of the Inforum board of directors.
