Leading with Emotional Intelligence
Join HealthcareNEXT's event for an informative session that explores the art and skill of leading with emotional intelligence! Our keynote speaker will teach us what it means to lead with emotional intelligence and how to do it. Learn why this is so important for leaders to manage stress levels and conflict resolution, communicate more effectively and build successful relationships. Learn how empathy and self-awareness can create positive outcomes in leadership. A panel of leaders in various professions will engage in a question-and-answer discussion as it relates to their own experiences and challenges with emotional intelligence. Their stories will inspire and give a fresh perspective on the importance of focusing on the needs of others in business and in life.

Panel
Shannon Wilson
Shannon Wilson is the Vice President of Population Health and Health Equity for Priority Health, a Michigan-based health plan. In her role, Ms. Wilson is responsible for the growth and development of Priority Health’s population health strategy, inclusive of health plan quality. Ms. Wilson also has oversight for health equity efforts, ensuring that achieving health equity is foundational to all health plan functions. To compliment this work, Ms. Wilson serves as the Executive Director of the Total Health Care Foundation, a charitable organization committed to addressing social needs and determinants in SE Michigan.
Rebecca Wilson
Becky Wilson helps businesses understand how to build their brands, protect their brands, and enforce their brands. She advises on new and ongoing branding initiatives and understands, from firsthand experience, the effort that goes into creating a successful business.
Becky devotes her practice to copyright protection and the prosecution of trademarks from inception to registration. Litigation is often a costly and time-consuming endeavor – sometimes unnecessarily – so she seeks to settle potential issues for her clients before that point. Protective by nature, Becky has successfully negotiated with some of the biggest names in industry on behalf of her smaller company clients.

Before starting his own company, he spent 10 years with Integrated Loyalty Systems as their senior vice president of content and solutions, designing and delivering culture-change programs and training workshops for healthcare organizations around the country, including Dignity Health, Ochsner Clinic, Penn Medicine, Carson Tahoe Health, the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC, to name a few.
