Our topic is Mindfulness and Meditation - a discussion of how these practices can help us improve mental, emotional and even physical health. WoW co-chair Lisa Murray will be leading this discussion. Our meeting will be interactive, with practices and exercises that you can immediately implement to recharge your batteries and feel calm and centered.
Coach Lisa is an expert in an emerging niche in health and life coaching - stress transformation. She leverages her prolific personal and professional experience to provide simple and effective strategies and techniques to help professionals feel and BE healthier, happier, and more effective in their lives and careers. After spending nearly 20 years in a corporate career, Lisa opened her first business in 2004. She is the founder and Chief Collaboration Officer of The Collaborative Body. In addition to coaching, she is also a public speaker, podcaster, and instructor. In coaching and teaching, Lisa incorporates her extensive background in bodywork, having worked with athletes for nearly 2 decades.
Her innovative style is creative, fun, and always experiential! One of Lisa’s superpowers is helping her clients to recognize and translate their bodies' unique language of stress so that they can learn to relax and heal their bodies, calm their minds, and balance their emotions. What is the purpose of the group?
Public interest in complementary and holistic healthcare options continues to grow as people seek healthier options to preserving and maintaining good health without relying on medications.
The group is focused on providing information, resources, and support for women around health and wellness issues. It will provide accessible strategies, techniques and resources women can adopt to make positive changes in their own health and lives.
We plan a wide range of health and wellness topics that women will find practical and useful in their daily health maintenance. We expect to host guest speakers who are subject matter experts in their fields.
