Tanya Griffith Director of Corporate Relations & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Partnerships Oakland University

Tanya Griffith (she/her) joined Oakland University (OU) located in Rochester, Michigan in August 2017 after a 20-year career working in the non-profit sector in the city of Detroit. Tanya advanced within OU by creating initiatives that support, and center on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA). Her goal was to identify resources to support students from underserved communities to help them persist through to graduation and has received national recognition for her efforts. Tanya is also a mentor and sponsor to a number of young career professionals and was recently named the Director of Corporate Relations and IDEA Partnerships at Oakland University. Tanya will be completing her Master's in Higher Education Leadership with a focus on social justice in April 2022.
