Terry Jackson
Manufacturing Training & Development, Amway
Terry Jackson is a Supervisor in Manufacturing Training and Development. He is responsible for a team of 8 people that work on a variety of strategic initiatives for Amway manufacturing. This work includes the One Team work-system development project, Amway manufacturing leadership university, key elements of the hiring process and many other exciting training and development efforts.
Terry has worked in multiple functions at Amway in his 25 years of employment. Previous to the role in manufacturing training and development he worked as a leader through multiple plant start ups. He helped start up Nutrilite dry powder production operations as well as Nutrilite soft gel operations in Ada Michigan. Terry worked as a group leader in both operations after start-up. Terry also held the role of a lean improvement leader for the Amway Liquids operation. His responsibility in the role included leading cross functional improvement projects focused on the lean manufacturing discipline.
Terry has a passion for developing teams and work-systems. He has been part of the intentional development of autonomous work teams and through the One Team project has helped define career progression for team members in manufacturing. He has been privileged to work with great teams and together they have delivered exceptional results that have helped shape the culture in manufacturing.
Terry has been married to Nicole for twenty years and together they have two children, Zeke and Lillian. Terry enjoys spending time with his family with their favorite pastime being watching the kids play sports: basketball, soccer, volleyball and track. Terry is also an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoys going to games.
