Join Inforum’s Lady Bosses Affinity Group on Wednesday, April 6th, 10:30 a.m. – noon, with special guest Andrea Walker-Leidy, Founder of Walker Publicity, for a virtual workshop: “Your Personal and Professional Brands and How They Work Together.”
What is Branding? Branding is a fancy word for how you communicate what’s important to you and why. Andrea Walker-Leidy will share her personal story of finding balance between professional and personal brand building while guiding participants through an exercise to discover their own personal brand. You will walk away with inspiration (and a few tips and tools!) to share with social media communities you want to connect with.
Your personal brand is the ‘why' behind who you are. It is, at its core, what you want people to think, feel and remember when they interact with you. As a business owner or professional, your personal brand is a large part of your organizational brand, setting the tone for how you do business. When it comes to branding and marketing on social media, a few things are true—First: You are what makes your business unique. Second, and most important: You are the story behind the work!
Andrea Walker-Leidy
A true suburban Detroiter with a passion for storytelling, Andrea Walker-Leidy was born and raised in southeast Michigan. When she launched Walker Publicity in 2007, she envisioned helping others share their unique tales. Through the agency, Andrea has created a service menu for marketing, publicity, reputation management, public relations, and social media, designed for organizations that may not have the resources for full-time marketing staff, but which still need to get the word out on events, products, and services. Andrea’s past freelance work has been featured in several Detroit publications, such as Ambassador Magazine, The Oakland Press, Community Lifestyles, Detroit Free Press, Jewish News, SEEN Magazine and many others.
This is a great opportunity to engage in personal & professional growth and network.
The purpose of the Lady Bosses is to provide educational programming (speakers, workshops), support, inspiration, accountability to and from other Inforum business owners or prospective owners. While much of the Inforum membership is in the corporate world, Lady Bosses Affinity Group is designed to meet the unique needs of business owners. It can also become a catalyst to encourage women to start or purchase their own businesses. The group also can provide and gain synergy from Inforum’s inGAGE strategy.
First Wednesday of the month, 10:30 a.m. – noon
The link to the meeting will be sent to you 24 hours in advance.
