Supercharge your Presentations

You have to give a presentation. You must make a good impression.  You know your topic, the content of your speech, but how do you make a big impression? No-one ever really told you how. 

A good presentation is a performance and the skills of acting, storytelling, timing and comedy are the powerful tools that make a good presentation great.  Sarah will share some of the techniques she has learned from her stage career to help supercharge your presentations.

Sarah Harfield

Sarah Harfield is a serial entrepreneur, and an award-winning speaker. Life has taken her from a farm in rural Wales, to living and working in London, and then a huge leap into the unknown when she moved with her partner and two children to Detroit in 2009.  Her inspiring personal story of growing up with dyslexia (when it wasn’t a thing), helping her children who have the same learning disorder, and ultimately fulfilling her ambition to be an author, show what is possible when you do not give in to adversity.  And on top of that she has established businesses in London and Detroit. 

Nowadays, she can be seen performing as Lady Sarah in the show “A Brit Of Magic”, a hilarious mix of magic and comedy that tours theaters and performing arts centers throughout the USA.  She is also the owner and emcee of “The Magic Soiree” a magic comedy dinner theater which has been called “The best night out in Detroit”.

Throughout her varied careers she has learned the importance of developing great communication skills, skills which can be practiced and learned. Now she spends much of her time teaching the techniques that she has learned and perfected by performing on stage. 

The mission of the Inforum Troy Morning Networking Group is to be the one meeting you look forward to attending each month. We are committed to an “apology-free” zone so do not apologize if you’re a few minutes late, or if you need to leave a few minutes early (we’ve ALL been there). Our goal is to be a welcoming, supporting networking group for professional women. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
