YPN will be continuing its focus on financial preparedness featuring guest speaker Carly Sanfield from Merrill Lynch. Carly will walk us through what young women early in their careers can do to prepare for retirement. She’ll answer our burning retirement planning questions: Do I need to start thinking about retirement? (Spoiler alert: Yes!) 401K or IRA? What’s a Roth? How much do I need to retire? How do I make sure I’m staying on track? And more!

The Sanfield Wealth Management Team was established in 2015 when Carly joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor and partnered with Michael Sanfield, a senior vice president and wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch since the early 1980s. The Young Professionals Network Affinity Group is built on three pillars, diversity/inclusion, professional development and social engagement. As a community of young professionals, we welcome recent graduates, and those looking to further establish direction within their careers. The YPN group meets monthly and hosts additional social meetups focused on supporting the West Michigan community. We aim to give members the tools they need to build their professional networks at the beginning of their careers while fostering confidence.
