Talking to Strangers “What we should know about the people we don’t know”

As Malcolm Gladwell sees it, nearly nothing is as simple as it seems, and just about everything warrants curiosity and caution. She will explore why we “default to truth,” why the CIA cannot even spot their own double agents, and why judges cannot make sense of their defendants. We jump at the chance to judge strangers! If the author can convince you of one thing in this book, it will be this: Strangers are not easy.

Deb Mourray is a Walsh College finance graduate and lifelong accounting career enthusiast. She is the owner of DM Communications and a Career Advisor at Walsh College. She has spent over 20 years promoting and advising accounting firms. In 2011, she returned to Walsh to counsel and advise business students; promoting careers in business and entrepreneurship. At DM Communications her passion is prepping job seekers for their dream job.

The mission of the Inforum Troy Morning Networking Group is to be the one meeting you look forward to attending each month. We are committed to an “apology-free” zone so do not apologize if you’re a few minutes late, or if you need to leave a few minutes early (we’ve ALL been there). Our goal is to be a welcoming, supporting networking group for professional women. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Walsh College.  Doors open at 7:45 a.m.
