Tips in Developing Early Career Professionals

Managing or mentoring early career professionals can be exciting, frustrating, or both!

New college graduates have spent 4 years acquiring knowledge that they are eager to apply. Yet the real workplace is a bit more messy, complex, ambiguous, and uncertain than the case studies in their college classes. They have a lot of ideas but when they are told:
                - We tried that before
                - That won’t work
                - It is more complicated than that, or
                - The leaders won’t support it...

…they begin to wonder if they will EVER be allowed to actually innovate or do something creative! And have probably vented to you about their frustration.

If you’re managing, recruiting, or working to retain early career professionals, or looking to expand your leadership/mentorship skills, this session will give you some tips on how to manage and mentor early career professionals to increase their understanding, capabilities, and outcomes.

AND, if you are an early career professional, you will pick up some tips on how to develop and how to leverage a mentor to support your development.
