Expanding your business through collaboration with fellow consultants

Whether you’re an existing, emerging, or eventual business owner, it’s worthwhile to consider adding a Collaboration Strategy to your business plan. Fellow business owners may be able to offer the specific expertise, perspective, or relationships you need to attract and serve your clients. Join 11-year veteran President and CEO Joscelyn A. Davis in a virtual workshop to explore the benefits of collaboration, as well as recommendations on how to select business partners and manage subcontractor agreements.

Prior to founding JADE Strategies, Joscelyn A. Davis served for more than 25 years in several, significant leadership positions in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors where she facilitated leadership coaching, organizational change management, and team development. As an award-winning leadership coach, Joscelyn has led hundreds of training sessions on collaborative cultures, high-functioning teams, strengths-based leadership, strategic planning, and emotional intelligence. She founded Mentoring Leaders℠, a training program for existing and emerging leaders and leadership teams, and Mentoring Trailblazers℠, a leadership development program designed specifically for professional women. She is a certified Inforum Michigan executive leadership coach and co-chair of Inforum’s Lady Bosses Affinity Group.

The purpose of the Lady Bosses is to provide educational programming (speakers, workshops), support, inspiration, accountability to and from other Inforum business owners or prospective owners. While much of the Inforum membership is in the corporate world, Lady Bosses Affinity Group is designed to meet the unique needs of business owners. It can also become a catalyst to encourage women to start or purchase their own businesses. The group also can provide and gain synergy from Inforum’s inGAGE strategy. In 2017 just 17 percent of companies had a female founder, a number that hasn’t changed in five years, according to Crunchbase.
