A Woman’s Financial Journey: Navigating the Gender Wealth Gap

This month’s YPN event will feature Carly Sanfield, CFP, Financial Advisor from Merrill Lynch. Carly will share her insights into the unique financial journey all women are on and highlight what women early in their careers should keep in mind as they build their future. She’ll cover topics such as the gender wealth gap and how big life moments like marriage and motherhood, as well as longer lifespans, affect women’s finances.

The Sanfield Wealth Management Team was established in 2015 when Carly joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor and partnered with Michael Sanfield, a senior vice president and wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch since the early 1980s. The Young Professionals Network Affinity Group is built on three pillars, diversity/inclusion, professional development and social engagement. As a community of young professionals, we welcome recent graduates, and those looking to further establish direction within their careers. The YPN group meets monthly and hosts additional social meetups focused on supporting the West Michigan community. We aim to give members the tools they need to build their professional networks at the beginning of their careers while fostering confidence.
