Courtnai Calloway

Courtnai Calloway(McCurdy) is the VP & Director of Administrative Operations for Black Moon Group, a governmental contract company with subsidiaries specializing in security guard services, general supplies and product development. Courtnai has over 20 years HR/Employee Relations and Government Liaison experience between her current position and her years at the Cook County Public Defender Office. Courtnai believes in living a purpose driven life. Her passion for women and youth centric community engagement fueled her early entrepreneurial and volunteer efforts. Viva Nsair

Currently in the United States and having worked in Kuwait, France, Saudi Arabia, and Canada, Viva Nsair is committed to furthering research in women in management to ultimately make an impact academically and within industry. Viva joined the Ilitch School of Business Doctorate program in Management (OB track) in fall 2017. Her research interests include gender in the workplace, trust, and culture.

With a life-long commitment to build cross-cultural understanding in communities, Viva Nsair started Culture Kid Books (culturekidbooks.com) to publish stories with the aim of cultivating Cultural Intelligence (CQ) in youth. Since 2016, two books have been published with three more in the pipeline. Viva previously held the title of Project Manager and International Patient Program Lead as part of a team of 16 highly specialized healthcare experts based in Kuwait. 

 

Moderator: Mary Cooney

Mary Cooney, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Creativia, helping businesses increase retention, productivity, and profitability by breaking down intergenerational communication barriers. As a university professor, Mary has over 20 years of experience teaching and preparing Millennials for the workforce, giving her a unique perspective on both sides of the generation gap. She was recently recognized by Corp! Magazine as a Business Diversity Leader.

Lunch meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm.  Meeting locations vary from month-to-month as our group focuses on highlighting businesses, companies and organizations within the Detroit city limits.  We offer a light lunch and refreshments at all our meetings.  All are welcome.
