This presentation uses my personal experience of agility in mindset and connecting with people from various backgrounds and locality as an anchor for discussing the importance of being more mindful of personal growth (people, places, and things) and being more inclusive as an individual, organization, and society as we transverse the new reality of our changing environment. This presentation calls out diversity and inclusion as an individual and leadership imperative in the successful navigation of a digital transformation.

Mary Brown

Transformation and Culture Lead at Spectrum Health

Mary Brown is a researcher and Futurist with a wide range of experience, including Human-Centered Design, Organization Development, and Learning and Development strategies and methods to improve individual leadership and organizational effectiveness. She was named to Grand Rapids Business Journal's 50 Most Influential Women In West Michigan in 2016. Her current focus is Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human interactions and explores the implications of new technology adoption in society.

In addition to working for Spectrum Health, Mary is an adjunct faculty in psychology and business departments at Grand Rapids Community College. Mary is the Chapter Lead for Grand Rapids SingularityU. The local chapter is a part of Singularity University's (Santa Clara, CA) global learning and innovation community using exponential technologies to tackle the world's biggest challenges and build a better future for all.
