Description

JANUARY 25thWhisper Network, by Chandler Baker

THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER. A fresh, fierce and furious thriller of working motherhood, female friendship and what it means to be a wife, mother, colleague, woman

Sloane, Ardie, Grace, and Rosalita have worked at Truviv, Inc. for years. The sudden death of the CEO means their boss, Ames, will likely take over the entire company. Ames has always been surrounded by whispers about how he treats women. Those whispers have been ignored, swept under the rug, hidden away by those in charge.

But the world has changed, and the women are watching this promotion differently. This time, when they find out Ames is making an inappropriate move on a colleague, they've decided enough is enough. Sloane and her colleagues' decision to take a stand sets in motion a catastrophic shift in the office. Lies will be uncovered. Secrets will be exposed. And not everyone will survive.

'A workplace murder mystery that happens in today's #MeToo era. It's honest, timely and completely thrilling - I was so surprised to find out who the murderer was!'

Words & Wine Affinity Group

“Words & Wine” offers a relaxed gathering at a local restaurant to discuss recent reads and enjoy a lively interactive discussion. We meet at various local restaurants for food and a glass of wine (or any other beverage you prefer!) while taking the opportunity to network. The group encourages members to suggest books for subsequent monthly book club get-togethers.

Some examples of our most recent reads are “The Little Paris Bookshop”, Nina George; “Sense and Sensibility”, Jane Austen and this month we’re reading a selection from Reese Witherspoon’s book club “Where the Crawdads Sing”, Delia Owens. (Finishing the book is never a prerequisite for attending the club meetings!) Check out the Inforum Events page for upcoming meeting details. Happy reading!
