Lakeshore Affinity Group – This group meets the second Friday of each month.
Our speaker this month will be Mita FitzJohn
Mita has been coaching clients formally and informally for 20 years, with over 25 years of experience in sales, consulting, business ownership, sales leadership, project management, talent development, instructional design, training, and organizational effectiveness.
Being able to empathize, relate to and connect with others brings her great joy and reward, and making a strong, positive impact on her clients is critical to her work.
In her role as a coach, Mita works with leaders who have the potential to lead at a much higher level than they do today, whether it’s rising to their full potential in their current role or moving up to a higher role with substantially greater responsibility.
Mita also works with individuals who are ready to make the career leap they’ve been longing for or to soar to new heights in their current field or shift into a field that is more authentic to them. She supports them in identifying their goals, self-limiting beliefs and obstacles, and together, they work to overcome them.
Mita has a diverse background in industrial distribution, working with Commercial, Manufacturing, Government, Higher Education and Healthcare customers.
Mita has served as an organizational effectiveness consultant during which time she designed and developed sales learning for a salesforce of 3000 salespeople and their sales leaders. She led continuous improvement efforts around sales onboarding programs resulting in the accelerated development and ramp-up of each new seller.
She created a new sales leader onboarding focusing on priority organizational initiatives and foundational investments giving new sales leaders a jump-start in understanding who their team members are; who their customers are; and how to coach to the priority initiatives. She also created a new multi-site seller onboarding focusing on upskilling new multi-site sellers with an emphasis on financial acumen, resource and tool utilization, and the contracting process. She led a team of instructional designers to create engaging, dynamic content in a variety of formats including elearning, self-study, activities, and instructor-led content
She also served as a sales leader during which time she led the development and implementation of sales strategy for Commercial customers.
Mita is a Certified Professional Coach, she earned her coaching certificate through the Co-Active Training Institute. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA and a Master’s in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School in Lake Forest, IL.
She loves to learn, read, cook and spend time with her amazing friends.
Most importantly, she has the privilege and honor of being a wife to her loving husband, Jon, and a proud mom to her two beautiful, talented and kind, teenage kids, Averie and Evan. And she is a doting dog mom to their labradoodle, Wolfgang.
