HOW MASTERING GENERATIONAL DIFFERENCE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN LANDING YOUR NEXT ROLE

Let’s face it with five different generations in the workplace right now, it can be nerve wracking deciding how best to relate to a boss, co-worker, or client from a different demographic.  How can I demonstrate during the interview process that: I get it - I know and respect that generational differences are real as demonstrated in the way we prioritize and communicate?  

In this session we will take the first steps to building the empathy, flexibility, and skillsets needed to leverage generational difference to your advantage.

Mary Cooney, PhD, trainer and speaker, breaks down intergenerational communication barriers so the generations connect leading to higher productivity, profitability, and talent retention.

From a young age, I’ve seen what happens when the generations work together harmoniously in sync on goals. It is truly inspirational! I’ve pursued the path of facilitating communication and productive synergy between the generations throughout my career.

After successfully helping to improve millennial student retention at Wayne State University, I decided to put what I’d learned about millennials from over 15+ years in the lecture hall to help with millennial retention in the workplace.

Women on the Move Affinity Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. This group's focus is to engage in networking opportunities, explore career alternatives and provide tools, coaching suggestions and expert advice to help in your active employment search and various career transitions.

Please plan to park in the lot in front of the building which can be accessed from Lakeview Drive (the road running between the Bank of America Building at 2600 W Big Beaver and Somerset Collection North).   The entrance to the building is under the portico adjacent to the parking lot.
