If gender equality isn’t baked in to the culture of your workplace, there are things you can do for yourself and your female colleagues to improve the environment and get ahead.

About the speaker

Carole Leigh Hutton is Vice President for Business Development & Marketing at Inforum, a Michigan nonprofit focused on gender diversity in leadership.

Earlier, Hutton was President & CEO of United Way Silicon Valley, based in San Jose, CA, following more than 30 years in the newspaper industry. That career included a stint as publisher and editor of the Detroit Free Press and Vice President for News in what was then the 2^nd largest newspaper company in the country, Knight Ridder. A native Bostonian, she now makes her home in Metro Detroit.

The mission of the Inforum Troy Morning Networking Group is to be the one meeting you look forward to attending each month. We are committed to an “apology-free” zone so do not apologize if you’re a few minutes late, or if you need to leave a few minutes early (we’ve ALL been there). Our goal is to be a welcoming, supporting networking group for professional women. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Walsh College.  Doors open at 7:45 a.m.
