Dr. Tyler Murphy, MD MS, is a classically trained internist who learned early in his career that the paradigm for treating chronic illness is flawed, as it focuses too much on symptoms management rather than root cause analysis and treatment. After becoming board certified in lifestyle medicine he opened the lifestyle medicine clinic in partnership with Holland Hospital, which aims to use lifestyle habits (nutrition, fitness, sleep, and stress management) as the medicine that stops, reverses, cures, and prevents some of the most common medical illnesses in this country. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Murphy can be found cycling, skiing, or relaxing with his wife and two children.
