Join us for Inforum's HealthcareNEXT event to hear from a dynamic panel. Successful women leaders will share how they’ve branded themselves, avoided burnout, and successfully negotiated to get to where they are today.

Speakers:

Laura Khalil is an executive coach who helps clients develop the confidence, clarity and courage to become forces of badassery. She has spoken to audiences on courage, verbal self-defense and personal branding at WeWork, Creative Mornings, Consumers Energy, Zingtrain, Intermitten, Ladies Get Paid and Bamboo Detroit. She built a multi-six figure business  working with name brands such as Twitter, Intel, GE and more on global initiatives. Laura teaches the keys to her success. Her talks and programs include a mix of inspiration, mindset development and actionable next steps to ensure that students leave inspired and empowered to go after their dreams. Amy Vandecar vice president of system contacting and value based reimbursement at Henry Ford Health System. Amy has over 20 years of health care experience.  She started her career as an auditor at Ernst &Young.  After a few years she was recruited to Providence Hospital, which merged with St. John Health, as the Manager of Payor Contracting.  Since 2003 Amy has led the Henry Ford Health System payor contracting team and in 2018 was promoted to Vice President of System Contracting and Value Based Reimbursement. Over the years Amy has gained extensive experience; negotiating contracts with local and national HMOs and PPOs, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans, CMS Next Generation ACO, capitation and shared risk models, direct to employer arrangements, strategy development and value based arrangements.  Carolyn Wilson is executive vice president and Chief Operating Officer at Beaumont Health. Carolyn oversees operations for Beaumont Health, its eight hospitals, pharmacy and laboratory. She also is responsible for the operations of real estate, design and construction, the development of Urgent Care Centers and the expansion of Ambulatory Campuses. Wilson came to Beaumont in 2016 from Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, where she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Before joining Fairview, she held a series of increasingly responsible positions at the University of Chicago and University of Chicago Medical Center from 1998-2011. She has been frequently recognized as a “hospital and health system leader to know” and as a “woman health care leader to know” by Becker’s Hospital Review. To read more about Carolyn click here.

Laurie Arora is the vice president of Public Affairs, Philanthropy & Organizational Development for PACE Southeast Michigan, a unique health plan and health provider that helps seniors remain independent in the community. She has a wealth of experience in fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, and communications. Previously, she ran her own political consulting firm where she managed and worked on high-profile campaigns and guided non-profit organizations. Laurie has a history of community involvement serving on numerous non-profit boards as well as two terms on Grosse Pointe Park city council.
