Technology is constantly evolving! At our next HealthcareNEXT Inforum event, we will be exploring how technology will impact the way we deliver care in the coming decades. Our panelists include Hae Mi Choe associate dean and Chief Quality Officer, University of Michigan Medical Group; Andrea Wallace, innovation portfolio manager, Emergent Holdings; and moderator, Lisa Peers, director of internal communications, Beaumont Health.
Panelists:
David Allard is the Chief Medical Information Officer at Henry Ford Health System. David has been in the position since 2009. As CMIO, he aids in the development for all IT systems, and is the contact between clinical users and IT to maximize application use for care efficiency and quality. Hae Mi Choe is associate dean and Chief Quality Officer for the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and University of Michigan Medical Group, respectively. She earned her PharmD from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed her pharmacy practice residency with Kaiser Permanente. Hae Mi created a group practice model for ambulatory clinical pharmacists at Michigan Medicine. She is recognized as a national leader for developing innovative clinical programs for pharmacists. She also leads a statewide initiative involving more than 20 physician organizations to improve quality and patient outcomes through embedding pharmacists in direct patient care. She has focused her research efforts on improving chronic disease management and care delivery models.
Andrea Wallace currently manages the innovation portfolio for Emergent Holdings, Inc. in a division called Business Lab which is responsible for bringing forth cutting-edge innovations for the healthcare industry. Entrepreneur, investor and musician, Andrea has passion for building business and empowering those who are part of the creative economy. Dre has invested in projects across industries, including music/entertainment, technology and most recently, consumer products. Dre has spent the last 13 years strategizing innovative technology solutions for some of the largest companies in the country. To read more about Andrea click here.
Moderator
Lisa Peers is the director of internal communications for Beaumont Health, Michigan’s largest health care system, based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue. In this role, she sets communications strategy for the organization and counsels Beaumont’s CEO, executives and senior leaders on how to best use communications to achieve their strategic goals. She and her Internal Communications team ensures Beaumont’s 38,000 employees understand what they need to know, do and believe to deliver our Mission of compassionate, extraordinary care every day.
Lisa came to Beaumont from Oakwood Healthcare in Dearborn, where she served as manager of executive communications. She was previously an Internal Communications Specialist at Blue Shield of California and was a member of the Organizational Development team at Catholic Healthcare West (now Dignity Health), both based in San Francisco.
