Join us at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in downtown Detroit on October 9th to hear from Bridget Hurd who will be talking about Inclusive Leadership. 

Parking in the guest parking lot on Lafayette. Meet in the lobby and they will be escorted to the boardroom.

Lunch meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm.  Meeting locations vary from month-to-month as our group focuses on highlighting businesses, companies and organizations within the Detroit city limits.  We offer a light lunch and refreshments at all our meetings.  All are welcome!

Inclusive Leadership with Bridget Hurd

With 27 years of progressive experience in communications, community relations, corporate giving, and diversity and inclusion, Bridget Hurd has worked in the health care industry helping to facilitate stronger linkages among the community and health care institutions and fostering a culture of inclusion in the health care community and among employees. Ms. Hurd is the Chief Diversity Officer and senior director, Diversity and Inclusion, at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan where she is responsible for leading and executing the corporate diversity and inclusion strategy and shaping a BCBSM culture of inclusion that emphasizes the recognition, understanding, and acceptance of the differences and similarities in people and that is culturally competent in providing services to its members and customers. She facilitates the Diversity Leadership Council and oversees diversity and cultural competency learning opportunities for employees and 10 employee resource networks. Ms. Hurd is also responsible for leading the Health Disparities Action Team and cultivating strong stakeholder relationships and partnerships in diverse and ethnic communities.
