Topic: How to Introduce Yourself with Power and Pizazz

Barbara Boldt will briefly go over the key elements of making a concise, powerful introduction in a networking context, with an emphasis on voice and non-verbal behavior. After the presentation, everyone will have the opportunity to practice!

Barbara Boldt is an Executive Communication Skills Coach. An American national, Barbara lived and worked in Europe for 19 years, where she created her career as a communication skills teacher and coach. Barbara learned to teach Presentation Skills in Italy and has taught and coached hundreds of international managers in both academic and corporate settings in Europe and the US. Her gift is being able to hear what people, especially not native speakers of English, want and need to say in order to accomplish their business goals, and to help them to express that clearly, concisely, and professionally, no matter the situation. Barbara holds a B.A. in Nutrition from the University of Iowa and a M.A. in International Relations from University of the Pacific (Stockton, CA).

The mission of the Inforum Troy Morning Networking Group is to be the one meeting you look forward to attending each month. We are committed to an “apology-free” zone so do not apologize if you’re a few minutes late, or if you need to leave a few minutes early (we’ve ALL been there). Our goal is to be a welcoming, supporting networking group for professional women. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Walsh College.  Doors open at 7:45 a.m.
