Amy Peterson co-founded Rebel Nell in 2013 to educate and empower disadvantaged women in Detroit by employing them to make jewelry from unique local materials and providing them with other education and services. Amy spent 11 years with the Detroit Tigers' front office before becoming vice president of the Ross Initiative for Sports in Equality in November 2017. She left that post to devote her full-time attention to Rebel Nell in August. For more about Amy and Rebel Nell click here.

Gwen Jimmere took her Naturalicious natural-hair care product line from side hustle to company in 2013 after being laid off while going through a divorce. Naturalicious has since become one of the nation’s fastest-growing hair-care companies, and Gwen is the first African American woman to hold a patent for a natural-hair care product. To read more about Gwen and Naturalicious click here.
