Join us for the second HealthcareNEXT event of the year with a dynamic panel discussing all the different benefits that can change the pace of the average office setting. Is it work or play? An exploration of an alternative work environment and flexible work strategies. At this event you will uncover some of the most cutting edge and innovative ideas that can take place in work environments, and what's in it for both the employee and the employer.

Speakers

Emily Bliss is a program manager with Quicken Loans specializing in flexibility and work life balance. Before joining the corporate world Emily was a middle school educator and teacher leader in educational technology implementation. She joined Quicken Loans 3 years ago as a technology learning consultant. During this time she became a mom of two littles and was on a constant search to find more hours in the day. In her role as a program manager she launched an all company flexibility initiative to over 20,000 team members! She spends her days collaborating with leaders across the company to find a right balance for their team members and the needs of the business. She has a passion for exploring the city of Detroit, traveling to new places and helping others find what makes them happy.

 

Melissa Price  is the CEO of dPOP, a women-led workplace + experiential design firm based in Detroit. Melissa’s expertise, acquired from 16 years of working in tech + facilities, has distinctively shaped her entrepreneurial approach to design. This drives her team to develop purposeful, data-centric workspaces that support each client’s specific culture + business needs. dPOP utilizes leading industry research and tools to assess the ways people interact with their environment. Their findings result in strategic workplace design that not only delivers an immersive brand experience, but also enhances engagement and optimizes employee effectiveness. 

 

 

Diana Verdun is Plante Moran’s director of human resources, Diana is responsible for the development and execution of Plante Moran’s strategy for effectively recruiting, managing, and developing more than 2,200 staff members in 24 domestic and international offices.  In addition, and perhaps most important, she’s the official “keeper” of the firm’s award winning culture which was inspired by the firm’s Co-Founder Frank Moran more than 90 years ago and passed down through generations.

 

 

 

 

Moderator, Synthia Bryant is a media relations specialist at Henry Ford Health System, has more than 30 years of experience in the communications field. Since joining Henry Ford’s public relations team in 1997, she has also worked with the System’s video, marketing, web and IT phone system teams as a content creator, video producer and voiceover talent. She completed Leadership Detroit’s Class XVI program and Flight 11 of Inforum’s Executive Leadership Program.
