Overcoming the Self-Imposed Glass Ceiling

Key Takeaways from this Learning Lab

  1. New awareness regarding your own unconscious beliefs and biases about yourself
  2. Tools to best release those biases and create sustainable change
  3. Your own customized next-best-step action implementation plan

Our gender is in a decades-old battle for equity in the workplace – and at the rate we’re going, we’re still decades from succeeding… Why is that? There are many factors contributing to this current state, but none quite so impactful as our OWN unconscious beliefs and biases about ourselves. Are we innocently and unknowingly our own worst enemy?  We may have created our own glass ceiling and we unintentionally reinforce it every day - we are the only ones who can tear it down.

In this very interactive workshop, we’re going to ask ourselves some important questions and take a close look at how each of us is contributing to what’s holding us back on our own individual journeys to career success. We’ll gain awareness around these obstacles we’re creating for ourselves and look at some simple yet powerful tools for breaking through them. This work will also help us identify how we can further expand our influence and deepen our impact (both personally and professionally). In essence, we’re looking at how to put the power and our futures back in our own hands. Although the Learning Lab is open to everyone, it is tailored to women in leadership positions at various levels.
